Around 1.3 million young people are diagnosed with cancer every year globally.

They experience a youth strongly influenced by the threat of the illness and daily therapy. Still a big percentage of them can be cured and reenter life after a long time of uncertainty.

Coming back to their old daily lifes can be challenging & lonely.

Transcience, month long therapy and sometimes lasting health conditions often isolates them from their peers. Reintegration is therefore particularly supported psychologically by aid organizations such as the Cancer League Zurich. Very often, cancer survivors fall into a slump after defeating cancer and suffer from loneliness or a lack of understanding from their surroundings. Young people, in particular, who are highly dependent on their peer group, are affected by this.

Starring in a fashion campaign, patients raise their voice

& open the conversation about stereotypes. Together with the Cancer League Zurich we searched for unconventional ways young cancer patients can share their experiences with peers.
